Toosheh is the first track from Raah, a new acoustic project from myself, Malahat and Faraz. What is unfolding in Iran has left all three of us in pieces, and music has been a way of expressing things we can’t put into words. Toosheh is inspired by the struggle for a brighter future in Iran, and dedicated to those risking everything to realise it.
lyrics
This world is old and without foundation
It has been the lament of many a dead hero
Come my weary friend
You are like me, we buried our hearts back home
In this place is only pain
Let us gather our things
And set out on the path of no return
